The material science research group of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich investigates and develops modern and esthetic restoration materials in the field of removable and fixed dental prostheses. We focus on fundamental research closely related to clinical applications, examine and enhance innovative processing and manufacturing steps related to CAD/CAM technology and 3D-printing and study the bonding properties of dental restorations. Our team is made up of engineers, dentists and dental technicians.
