About
The Voyar FROG walker provides children with Cerebral Palsy and similar conditions better support, mobility and autonomy. FROG addresses fatigue and eliminates the need for frequent assisted transfers when using conventional gait trainers by incorporating a resting seat. Children with CP can easily transition to rest without leaving their walker. An integrated, patented weight-compensation mechanism enables self-initiated postural changes between sitting and standing without undue effort. Conventional gait trainers do not have a resting position/seat which can be activated by the child autonomously. FROG integrates a novel adjustable lift seat that utilises a weight compensation and transition mechanism. When seated, the compensation mechanism exercises a counter force against the weight of the child, thus assisting the child in standing up. The mechanism applies just enough force to fold the lift seat up and allow space for ambulation while providing easy access for the next deployment. When the child sits from the standing position, this feature also helps to stabilize in transition. FROG also provides several other innovative features such as independently adjustable caster wheels for directional control, anti-reverse wheels bearings and a wide range of size adjustments for the walker to grow with the child.
