Vitals Unbound’s main product is a patented device that uses at least 2 sensor pads to passively detect physiological parameters including heart rate, breathing rate and movement. There are no wires connected to the patient and data is acquired continuously while the patient lays on the bed. The ballistocardiography-based sensor sends data wirelessly to the cloud where it is then analyzed so clinicians can see data in near real time. Clinical trials have shown it records accurate vitals, movement in bed, and sleep architecture as compared to established gold standards.
Some key applications include pressure ulcer prevention, pain management, heart and breathing rate monitoring and sleep quality reporting.
