TraumaGuard provides constant monitoring of Internal Abdominal Pressure (IAP) and relays the information to the Unit Central Station with a pro-active alert to warn staff when IAP meets or exceeds pre-determined levels. This eliminates the need for nursing staff to constantly check on the pressure readings bedside, allowing them to focus on other duties.
TraumaGuard is a simple “plug-and-play” catheter device that is simple to set up and intuitive to use. The device delivers superior functionality by measuring pressure via a balloon with a large circumferential area that obtains more information over multiple reference points than a single-point sensor, without the need to physically position the patient supine or “zero reference” the device.
