Based in Atlanta, Georgia, TransCardiac Therapeutics was founded in 2003 by Omar Lattouf MD PhD of Emory University in order to develop and pursue commercialization of technologies he invented to enable and enhance minimally invasive cardiac therapies. These technologies allow surgeons to operate in the least invasive manner possible to alleviate cardiac complications, removing the need to stop the patient's heart, or use a bypass machine. TransCardiac Therapeutics is designing, developing, and will soon commercialize a range of devices which will shape the future of minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
