Tamar Robotics is developing and commercializing a neurosurgical system offering high-accuracy, minimally invasive robotic brain mass removal offering surgeons, providers and patients the clinical and economic benefits of minimally invasive surgery in neurosurgery.
The robotic system performs autonomous surgical tasks under the surgeon’s full control. With the ability to overcome brain shift, the system will significantly improve accuracy, enable maximal tumor and clot removal, and offer reduced injury and complications thus achieving better surgical outcomes.
The company was founded by Prof. Moshe Shoham, a world-renowned expert in medical robotics and founder of Mazor Robotics (acquired by Medtronic), following a 5 years of research at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
