SonoStik® LLC was established in October, 2013, to develop medical device equipment that can facilitate proper, efficient, simple, and easy intravenous catheter placement especially when used with portable ultrasound.
The Company’s mission is to make procedures easier for physicians and health care providers while offering patients a more pleasant experience by reducing discomfort and complications.
Intravenous line placement is one of the most common medical procedure performed and is used in patients to administer fluids, medication, or draw blood. The majority of these procedures, however, are performed without the ability to directly visualize the vessel of interest—relying instead on the clinician’s expertise and secondary methods to locate the vein or artery based on anatomical landmarks and palpitation.
