Bruxism can be highly destructive and cause significant problems for the teeth and oro-facial muscles and joints. Some key challenges for clinicians and patients in managing the effects of bruxism include: - the severity of bruxism activity can be difficult to assess based on patient history and clinical exam alone - clinical risk posed by a given patients specific bruxism activity can be difficult to assess and communicate to patients - lack of evidence of active bruxism can result in poor patient engagement with treatment recommendations and appropriate use of protective splints Our SmartSplint technology provides uniquely rich personalised data on each patients bruxism to help clinicians devise and communicate optimal treatment plans.
