Transmission Ultrasound is an emerging technology based on tomographic transmission ultrasound and capable of generating 3D speed-of-sound images. Our new non-invasive, radiation-free imaging tool may be used for diagnostic assessment of quantitative breast density (QBD), a volumetric breast density calculation that uses 3D transmission ultrasound, with results comparable to mammography with tomosynthesis.
QT Imaging has received FDA 510(k) clearance to market its Transmission Ultrasound breast scanner. It is not intended as a replacement for screening mammography.
