Pugh & Payne is a startup healthcare innovation company run by women of color. Pugh & Payne invented the glare reduction shield (GRS) for digital thermometers, and our patent is the heart of our company. We are a diverse firm of African-American women who have grown our company through grassroots connection to our community and securing our patent. The GRS is an easy-to-use, snap-on accessory that fits most digital thermometer models, improving readability in any condition — from fast-moving health clinics in underserved communities to active warzones. Our low-cost but high-impact solution saves time and improves accuracy. The GRS is a simple, transformative solution made from durable materials.
