Project Shield is the proposed construction of a manufacturing facility for the production of medical disposables in Nigeria. The proposed facility will reduce the dependence of African countries on imports of medical disposables. In addition to supporting local production, the facility will enable off-take of local raw materials and create close to 1,000 jobs. In sum, the facility will help reduce the scarcity of medical disposables and personal protective equipment and hospital acquired infections (HAI).
