Therapy for each breast cancer patient needs to be optimized to avoid the delays, side-effects, and costs of ineffective treatments. PET/X combines PET (positron emission tomography) and X-ray mammography to quickly and reliably determine which targeted breast cancer therapies will be effective for each patient. PET/X is also valuable for testing efficacy in newly developed treatments in clinical trials. Our instrument is currently under development for research use only. It is not FDA approved.
