At Oryx Medicals, we are transforming the treatment of aortic valve disease with an innovative, patient-specific approach. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the benefits of mechanical and biological heart valves by developing a groundbreaking solution: a 3D-printed, minimally invasive transcatheter aortic valve (TAVI). Aortic valve stenosis affects over 12% of the elderly population, leading to severe symptoms and drastically reduced survival rates if untreated. Current solutions - mechanical valves with high durability or biological valves with easier implantation - come with significant compromises. Mechanical valves require invasive surgery, while biological valves, although minimally invasive, have a limited lifespan of 8–10 years. Our additively manufactured heart valve offers the best of both worlds: the durability of mechanical valves combined with the minimally invasive TAVI procedure. Leveraging advanced 3D printing technologies, we create heart valves tailored to individual patient anatomies. This personalized approach reduces recovery times, minimizes complications, and extends the lifespan of the implant - improving outcomes for patients and healthcare providers alike.
