Ocupeye

About 8 million people worldwide suffer from the loss of an eye due to illness or accident. These patients wear eye prostheses made of glass or acrylic as a replacement, which are manufactured by ocularists. Unfortunately ocular prostheses have not been improved since the middle of the last century. Therefore patients are longing for a better solution. With the help of modern technologies, such as 3D scanners, artificial intelligence and 3D printing, Ocupeye produces ocular prostheses more realistically, more quickly and more efficient than is possible with traditional manual labour. The result is a 1:1 copy of the healthy eye, produced within a few days. This "end-to-end" full-colour solution for 3D printing ocular prosthetics is totally new and absolutely unique.
