Nanotherm has developed an integrated suite of technologies to precisely treat solid tumors: The Nanotherm Therapy System (NTTS). Our patented nanoparticles are placed in the tumor, where they remain, and are activated (heated) afterwards which allows one to confirm the therapy before treatment. The heating is unaffected by patient movement making it easier to predict and control the ablation zone. We have demonstrated in patients with prostate cancer that we can fully ablate cells where the particles are placed and spare health tissue less than 200µm away. In Europe, NTTS approved under MDR for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma. Several clinics offer the method to their patients.
