Melanor

Melanor is a Norwegian medical technology association established on January 1, 2019, through the merger of Medtek Norge and Lab Norge. It represents around 150 member companies in the medtech sector across Norway, which collectively generate a turnover of approximately 12 billion NOK and employ about 3,000 people. The association covers a wide range of areas within the medical technology industry, including medical supplies, medical technology devices, laboratory equipment, welfare technology, and aids for people with disabilities. Melanor serves public and private health institutions, universities, research institutes, and various public authorities. It acts as a trade association and ethical oversight body, ensuring compliance with ethical business practices and regulatory standards in the industry. The organization is led by CEO Atle Hunstad and is headquartered in Fornebu, Akershus, Norway.
