The Virtual Cardiac Stress Test (VCAST) is a post-processing image tool developed for clinical quantitative and non-invasive qualitative analysis of CT DICOM data, to assess the anatomy and the hemodynamic significance of coronary artery atherosclerotic stenosis.
This non-invasive cardiac test provides a personalized, color coded 3D model of the coronary arteries combined with functional information, including computed quantities of blood flow, pressure, and velocity and is designed to assist the physician in assessing (both diagnosis and treatment plan) for coronary artery disease. The test is independent of imaging equipment, imaging protocols, and equipment vendors.
