ISLAB BIOTECHNOLOGY is a Turkish company founded in 2007 that focuses on the research, development, and production of in vitro medical devices. The company specializes in immunohematology and blood group testing systems. After four years of research and development, ISLAB launched its first products in 2011, including newborn screening kits like Neonatal TSH and Neonatal Fluorescence PKU. The company is recognized for its innovative contributions, such as the Brucella Coombs Gel method introduced in 2012, which improved diagnostic testing for brucellosis. ISLAB expanded its offerings in 2014 with blood group gel agglutination test kits and introduced Turkey’s first domestic blood group gel card devices in 2016.
