Imaging Equipment Ltd (IEL) is a specialist distributor of medical technologies. The company was formed in 2001.

In 2014 the company was acquired from its previous owners by Advanced Accelerator Applications. Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA) is a European Pharmaceutical Group founded in 2002 by Italian academics as a spin-off of the “European Organisation for Nuclear Research” (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland, to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic products. The CEO of AAA is Stefano Buono, a physicist who spent 10 years working at CERN.

AAA’s main focus is in the field of Molecular Imaging and targeted individualised therapy for the management of patients with serious conditions (Personalised Medicine).
