HipInsight System

HipInsight System is the first FDA-cleared mixed reality digital surgery platform designed specifically for total hip arthroplasty, developed by Surgical Planning Associates, Inc. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, this innovative system combines augmented reality technology with patient-specific 3D surgical planning. It provides surgeons with real-time holographic visuals of the patient's anatomy and surgical plan during procedures. Using Microsoft HoloLens 2 mixed reality glasses, HipInsight allows surgeons to visualize anatomy, instruments, and implants inside the patient’s body, enhancing surgical precision and improving patient outcomes. The system includes cloud-based preoperative planning and a mechanical registration device, enabling accurate navigation and placement of hip implants. HipInsight is primarily marketed to orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers specializing in joint replacement surgery, with notable use in over 11,000 hip replacement surgeries worldwide.
