Our mission is to create medical devices that are simple, inexpensive, and easier to use than current devices available in the market; paving the way for safer medical treatments. The development and implementation of fistula needle guard technology will further promote the advancement of patient and caregiver safety, while simultaneously demonstrating that preventive medical device design can enhance the patient experience. Our design-focused approach to medical devices allowed for a pinpointed realization of existing problems with current technologies. These realizations promote the combination of familiar design with innovative solutions, resulting in greater ease of use and saving of time and money for the both the caregiver and the patient. Gardet specializes in the development of a Semi-Automatic Activated Engineered Safety Fistula Needle that significantly reduces the risk of vein puncture and care-giver needle stick.
