Diabetic foot is one of the most common, costly and severe complications of diabetes. Globally 40 to 60 million people with diabetes are affected by these complication. Every 30 seconds, a lower limb or part of a lower limb is lost somewhere in the world as a result of diabetes, which is 10 to 20 times more common in people with diabetes than in people without diabetes. Without an appropriate educational program and suitable footwear, the diabetic foot can result in an important economic, social, and public health burden. Educating and monitoring diabetic patients can prevent and reduce amputation rates associated with diabetic foot ulcers. Feet For Life an initiative by Alkem MedTech is an educational & support platform for patients who are suffering from diabetic foot ulcers. Our mission is to educate people, prevent amputations and give them the opportunity to reclaim their lives.
