About
Diabetes Neuromathix (DNx) uses entirely new paradigms of evolutionary ML and adversarial AI to bring stable control to users of artificial pancreases with Type 1 diabetes. ~ 56% of Type 1 diabetes patients struggle with high / very high ‘glycaemic variability'. Poor blood glucose control diminishes daily quality of life with longer-term impacts including strokes and heart attacks. Its also cripplingly expensive for individuals and insurers; US hospitalization costs = $2,413/day for diabetes and $3,084/day with complications. DNx AI solves this problem providing patients with personalised insulin programs enabling them to achieve and maintain desired glucose levels. Using evolutionary AI with significant advantages over artificial neural networks (ANNs) the DNx AI interrogates patients' medical data to construct personalised diabetes models, then generates insulin infusion control laws to improve control of blood glucose, steering it to desired levels and keeping it there. It does this in a way that is explicable, data efficient, hacker resilient and is adaptive in real time to sudden changes. Dr Nigel Greenwood, Prof Jenny Gunton and the DNx team have achieved; Patents granted in US, Australia and Singapore.
