We are excited to introduce a brand new patent pending, digital scanning technology that provides women with an inexpensive, hand-held device to detect breast cancer in the privacy of their own homes.
Imagine finally having a tool to detect, identify, and even categorize anomalies in your breast tissue in the comfort of your own home that adds tremendous additional precision to self-examinations done by hand. More importantly, it will offer all women, especially those at younger ages and those considered to be “low risk”, a proactive, non-invasive way to feel safer about their bodies with early detection.
The scanning process is 100% safe and completely unobtrusive as it methodically scans the breast in cross-sections to develop a 3-dimensional grid identifying the varying density of the tissue throughout. Detection and identification of anomalies as small as 2-3mm is obtainable, which is 10 times smaller than expert self-examination can detect (2-3cm). Detected anomalies are categorized via size, shape, density, and the time they were identified. The result is a 3-dimensional depiction of each anomaly for future reference and comparison to future scans for exceedingly early detection capability.
This new technology is NOT supposed to replace physician visits or mammograms. We envision the DigiBreast Scanner creating a totally new market for all women for early breast cancer detection. In addition to the early detection, the DigiBreast Scanner team intends to partner with online clinical experts who can evaluate each anomaly the day that they are recorded, offering insight and advice.
This combination of early detection and expert advice could lead to additional preventive measures and ultimately a higher percentage of breast cancer survivors!
