At BrainMatterZ, we're on a mission to Unlock Sleep as the 6th Vital Sign™ through a first-of-its-kind, disposable Home Sleep Testing (HST) patch.   Our BrainMatterZ™ HST patch transforms traditional Polysomnography (PSG) technology, which monitors brain activity, heart rate, breathing, body movements, snoring, and oxygen levels, into a user-friendly, disposable forehead-worn patch. This patent-pending device enables Type II sleep testing from the comfort of a patient's home, making sleep diagnostic testing more accessible, accurate and convenient.   Unlike conventional sleep studies that necessitate wires, complex set-ups, and cumbersome supply chains for the patient and the provider, the BrainMatterZ HST patch eliminates these complexities. Because of its disposable nature, the patch can be mailed to patients in a low-cost envelop – obviating the need for patients to pick-up and return HST equipment. Patients simply apply the patch to their foreheads before sleep, connect the patch to their mobile phone using an app, and then sleep soundly in their own beds. Throughout the night, the device records an industry-leading 10 channels of sleep diagnostic data, uploading these signals to the cloud where FDA-cleared AI algorithms analyze the data for qualified sleep professionals. This streamlined process reduces operational cost, friction and complexity for sleep physicians and significantly simplifies the diagnosis of conditions like Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) – reducing the time from ordering a sleep study to receiving a diagnosis from several weeks to 1-2 days.
