Almacare Ltd. a 100% Irish owned company specialising in breast care. The name ‘Alma' comes from the Latin ‘to nurture' and Spanish for ‘soul'. I have been working in breast care for over 25 years and set up Almacare in 2008 to provide ladies, who have had breast surgery, with a greater choice of products and venues. We started by holding a small monthly clinic in Beaumont Hospital and, after being nominated for a Fingal County Enterprise Board award in 2009, expanded to the ten clinics we hold today. Breast Care is what we are qualified to do and it's what we specialise in. We're not an add-on to another business so we can concentrate on giving the widest choice possible. Ladies are seen by a fully qualified fitter who assists them in choosing what's right for them. Our consultations are free, we won't try to sell anything, and there is no obligation to buy. We'll also look after the HSE paperwork where possible. Over the years we have seen thousands of ladies take their journey from surgery to recovery. Their input and feedback has helped us put together what, we're told, is the largest selection of breast care products in Ireland. After reaching the final in 2015 we were delighted to win our section at the 2016 & 2019 Stars Best Shops Awards for the UK & Ireland.
