Aiming to save more lives, Dr. Po-Lin Hsu, who holds two doctoral degrees from the University of Cambridge and RWTH Aachen University, established magAssist in 2017 combining both domestic and overseas teams with years of extensive experiences in the development of artificial hearts.
Based on a core technical platform covering mechatronics, magnetic levitation, and computational fluid dynamics, magAssist targets the field of heart failure, and plans to develop life support platforms for cases with multiple organ failure.
Our product under development include an extracorporeal ventricular assist device, an interventional ventricular assist device, and an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation system.
magAssist will continue to focus on the clinical needs of extracorporeal life support for emergency and severe cases, and complete positioning of product innovation, so as to develop platform-based solutions for different populations, assist needs, and clinical scenarios, and to serve patients in China and worldwide.
